Today in West Michigan, it is overcast, raining, and bone-cold, which for this forager equated to remaining inside sipping "Winter Comfort". During this slower season, I am grateful for the opportunity to turn to tea blends formulated by practiced herbalists. Last month I bought the book Healing Herbal Teas by Sara Garr @moondrop.herbals. Her recipe "Winter Comfort" is the perfect antidote for this weather.
Thanks to recent winds casting off pine branches I foraged and a supply of purchased herbs,
I happen to have all of the ingredients to make this tea:
- White pine needles
- Chaga
- Fenugreek
- Cardamom
- Cinnamon
- Ginger
- Nutmeg
