City Nature Challenge iNaturalist Training, 4/23/24

Can you answer YES to any of the following statements?
-I've never used iNaturalist -I'd like to use my phone to identify plant and animal species I see in outside
-I'd like to participate in the City Nature Challenge, but I don't know how -I don’t know how to join the City Nature Challenge project on iNaturalist -I would like tips on how to get more accurate species identification of the pictures I upload on iNaturalist -I have experience with iNaturalist but would like to hang out in a virtual setting with like-minded people
If so, then consider registering for this FREE online training with Lea Sevigny of Joyful Wildcrafting and Travis Kurtz of John Ball Zoo on Tuesday, April 23 at 7:00pm.
BACKGROUND: “City Nature Challenge: West Michigan” is a BioBlitz event through iNaturalist from April 26 to April 29 sponsored by John Ball Zoo. Other cities around the world are participating in their own Challenges at the same time. Over these four days, individuals are encouraged to find plants/wildlife, take pictures, and share them through the iNaturalist app. Join people the world-over making and recording observations in nature. The West Michigan edition is taking place anywhere in Kent, Ottawa, Barry, and Allegan counties.
In order to help you successfully participate in the Challenge, we're offering a free class over Google Meet.
