Join us at the beautiful prairie at the Marywood Dominican Center in Grand Rapids to remove/work with Teasel. Consider coming out if:
- you'd like to take home root to tincture for nerve pain, Lyme issues, etc.
- you want to help the Native gardens at Marywood be as pristine as possible
- you'd like to keep plants from receiving chemical treatments
- you'd like to work in community with other herbalists, foragers, wildcrafters, native plant enthusiasts, etc.
There's something for people of all abilities. Tasks include collecting the seed heads off two-year plants, digging the roots of one-year plants, subbing in young native plants to the newly dug holes, and generally have a nice morning together.
This is a one-time event, so please come out even if you don't need the root for medicine. Just come for the time of connecting with the plants and humans doing the work in this idyllic setting.
Monday, September 16 from 9:00am - 11:00am. (Come for any or all of the time.)
